Just one of Pam’s many amazing photos
Good morning! I am just starting to unpack and settle back in. The sky is perfectblue this morning as I prepare to teach at Prana Yoga Center this morning, and then head to Brazen Athletics to work with my very favorite athletes. I’ve said this nearly every time I’ve gone away the past few years, but it still holds true, “You know you are blessed when you can go on an amazing trip, and still miss your life back home.” I feel so blessed to have this life.
My first yoga retreat was incredible, and it continues to sink in as the days go by. Our group really connected and as well as having their own retreat again next year (yes, I am leading 2 in a row!), we are already scheduling a time to catch up in the coming weeks. This retreat went beyond what I’d even imagined for creating and supporting the community I would like to see and be a part of in the world. I am reminded of the Joseph Campbell quote:
“When you follow your bliss, doors will open where there would not have been doors before.”
It’s amazing, awe-inspiring and humbling when you go out on a limb with your timid little heart open in the breeze, and find that it is filled with more love, more life, and opportunities that surpass anything you would have dared to dream. This experience has opened my eyes and heart even more, and I’ve learned so much. Leading retreats really is my THING, and it revealed so much to me. It allows me to do everything I love (teach yoga, read quotes, give journalling exercises, show people all of my favorite parts of Maui, hold space for reflection and healing, encourage and inspire while just being human with everyone, have so much fun, and offer all of the LOVE in my heart) all at once!
Meditation on the lawn.
In that light, here is the information and registration for next year’s retreat! Maui was my home for a few years, and it always feels like home when I go back. There is something about the island that, with my first breath out of the airport, I am suddenly both emptied and filled up all at once. I feel content and I feel completely myself without effort. Does that make sense? I see the very best parts of myself when I am there. It is partially the slow pace of the island, the air (did I say that already?), the incredible fruit growing everywhere, the gorgeous water, the frame of two volcanic mountains, and the beautiful smiles on the faces of people I pass on the street. Maui reveals the beauty in everyone.
I would LOVE if you all could come with me, but I know that timing and resources have to align. Lumeria is becoming so well known that all sorts of famous people are starting to hold retreats there. I feel inexpressibly blessed that I found it so early, and was able to rebook. Someday, I would love to be able to reserve the entire retreat center (23 rooms), but for now I have to reserve a small number and then just book as the rooms fill. If you feel pulled to join me next year, please reserve soon. I don’t want you to miss out on what this year’s participants agreed was a life changing event.
Read the testimonials, check out the photos, and then get more information and register here if you feel this retreat is for you. There will be more photos and testimonials added so keep checking back!
Much love and Aloha,
