A few years ago, my mom made this salad and it instantly became a family favorite. Since then, I have brought it to gatherings with vegetarians, Paleos (although there is some cheese in it, if your super strict) and people who don’t love green vegetables at all, and every single person has oohed and ahhed over it. I have watched people take 2nd and 3rd helpings, and have had so many people ask for the recipe that I am posting it here!
Why is this so surprising? Because it is basically a recipe of raw Brussel Sprouts and Kale. To me, this doesn’t sound like it could be as amazing as it is (and I actually like both Brussels and Kale), but it will blow your mind. Most people love it so much and have no idea that it is in fact, made of entirely raw cruciferous vegetables. Make it for your family this holiday season and become an instant salad celebrity!
It is the simplest recipe but I tend to be impatient so, while my mom chops the kale by hand, I throw it in the food processor just like I do with the brussel sprouts and it’s every bit as d-lish!
